Mr.
Pradeepchandra Shukla is a Corporate Lawyer at
EFS Consultants. He was born in the holy city of
Benares (Varanasi) in Uttar Pradesh, India and
was bought up and educated in Mumbai.
He is a
Law Graduate with specialisation in
‘Intellectual Property Law’ and ‘Law and
Medicine’ from Mumbai University and an MBA in
Banking and Financial Services from Mumbai
School of Business, Navi Mumbai. He is also
pursuing CS Professional Programme from ICSI
(the Institute of Company Secretaries of India).
He
provides legal advice and services to EFS
Consultants and its clients.
He is an
expert in corporate inter-relationships spanning
across borders. He also has knowledge about which
jurisdictions are encouraging Foreign Direct
investments in which sectors and how efficiently
investments can be structured and protected by
adopting corporate or any other formal routes.
He has
also studied various finance routes and
corporate structuring for both inbound and
outbound investments. He also has knowledge
about DTAA (Double Taxation Avoidance
Agreements). He keeps track of all the
legislative changes, their consequences and
possible solutions regarding corporate laws in
India as well as offshore jurisdictions having
significant presence in corporate structuring
and other financial services.
He
ensures that all documentation for clients is
perfect so that it protects the clients as well
as their investments.
He can communicate in three
languages viz, English, Hindi and Marathi.
He had initially joined a
reputed LPO (Legal Process Outsourcing) firm and
received good experience in International Laws
and processes regarding quality delivery of
services to international clients. He later on
joined a reputed law firm practicing corporate
laws and litigation and increased his knowledge
base regarding various corporate structures.
By
profession, he is as lawyer but has additional
qualifications in many other disciplines. He is
a 2nd Dan Black Belt from SKAI (Shotokan
Karate Association of India), Post Graduate in
Hindi literature (Sahitya Ratna) and also has certification in two
modules from NCFM (NSE’s Certification in
Financial Markets).
He is regularly invited to
various management and finance institutions as
guest lecturer for varied topics like Corporate
Laws, Securities Laws and Compliances, Economic
and Labour Laws, Corporate Governance, Tax Laws,
Forex Management and FEMA, Commercial Laws, etc.
